Journal "Socio-economic problems of the modern period of Ukraine" was founded in 1996 under the title "Socio-economic research in transition period" and was re-registered in 2007 under the present title.

Articles of a problematic, generalizing, methodological nature, the results of original scientific, practical, educational and methodological research in the form of articles that have not been published anywhere else are accepted for publication in the journal.

Purpose and objectives of the publication
The purpose of the journal is to form an open scientific and analytical platform for the generation, testing and dissemination of knowledge in the field of socio-economic development, economic transformations, business development, public administration and international relations. The publication is aimed at the development of interdisciplinary dialogue and the formation of scientifically sound approaches to the management of socio-economic processes at the national, regional, local and organizational levels.
The main objectives of the journal are:
- Coverage of the results of theoretical and applied research in the field of socio-economic development, economic transformations and international economic relations, including the analysis of global and European integration processes (C1, C3).
- Publication of scientific works on the issues of business development, organizational management, marketing and trade activities in the context of modern economic changes (D3, D5, D7).
- Dissemination of research results in the field of finance, banking, insurance, stock market, accounting and taxation, as well as analysis of financial and investment processes as the basis of economic development (D1, D2).
- Coverage of issues of formation and implementation of state, regional and local policy, development of public management and administration systems (D4).
- Research on mechanisms of strategic planning, management of public investments and development of territories at the national, regional and local levels (С1, D4).
- Dissemination of research results on interdisciplinary approaches to management of socio-economic processes and formation of evidence-based policies (С1, D3, D4).
- Ensuring open access to the results of scientific research and promoting the exchange of scientific experience between scientists, experts, representatives of government bodies and business.
The mission of the journal is to promote the formation of modern scientific and expert discourse on the socio-economic development of Ukraine, support the development of effective management decisions and policies at the national, regional and local levels through the dissemination of scientific knowledge, analytics and practical approaches in the context of structural transformations, post-war reconstruction and European integration.
Field and issues: The journal covers current issues of economics and international economic relations, international relations, accounting and taxation, finance, banking, insurance and the stock market, management, public management and administration, marketing, trade and other branches of economic science. The journal also provides reviews of scientific works and publications on economic topics.
